10 I was in the Spirit on the lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
11 what did he say: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last. Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches that are in Asia: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. —REVELATION 1:10-11
In today's evangelical and “Christian” world it is very common to hear “in the New Testament it does not say that we must keep the law”, and—in particular, “the Sabbath”…
However, apart from the Bible it makes no mention—much less difference—between "Ancient" and "New" testament, here we see John receiving the first vision of God's last message for humanity, nothing more and nothing less than on the Lord's day. Yes, on the day that you say was abolished many years before when Christ was crucified.
And John, as we have already presented in the past, as a Jew and a disciple of Jesus, did not know any other day of rest other than the seventh day of the week, the same one that was established from the very beginning. (GEN. 2:1-3), ordained—again at Sinai (EXD. 20:8-11), confirmed by the prophets (ISA. 56:1-8), observed by Jesus and the disciples (LUK. 23:55-56), and reaffirmed by Christ himself before his death (MART. 2:27-28, MAT. 24:20), after his death (LUK. 23:55-56, APC. 1:1, 10), and exalted for all eternity—for all humanity (ISA. 66:22-23). [1]John, the disciples and the day of the Lord
[STUDY, CristoVerdad]
I always hear Christians say that Nowhere in the New Testament do we see the disciples commanding Sabbath keeping. We have said it before, and we repeat it again: How much mediocrity there is in the evangelical world!
Let us remind you, Christian friend, that before even one of the 12 apostles chosen by Jesus was born, God had already rested on the seventh day. And God says to his people—yes, to his people (ISA 5:1-8)—
8 Remember of the Sabbath to sanctify it.
9 Six days you will work, and you will do all your work;
10 but the seventh day is a rest to the Lord your God; Do not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your maidservant, nor your beast, nor your foreigner who is within your gates.
11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore, Jehovah blessed the day of rest and sanctified it. —EXODUS 20:8-11
Are you part of God's people, yes or no? How many times does God have to speak for his word to be valid? Where in the Bible is that law or decree that says that for something to be valid it has to be “the New Testament” and that the disciples have to order it, where? I'll never tire of saying it, How much mediocrity, my friend!
And it is not that in what you call “New Testament” there is not the observance of the seventh day of the week as a day of rest, well it is, but that you turn a blind eye—“TO HIS OWN PERDITION” (2 PET. 3:16-16), Of course:
54 It was preparation day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.
55 And the women who had come with him from Galilee, followed also, and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid.
56 And returning, they prepared spices and ointments; and they rested on the Sabbath, according to the commandment. —LUKE 23:55-56
And these women were counted among Jesus' closest disciples. (LUK. 24:1-9). And not only that, but this happened during and after Christ's death on the cross. That is, before Christ died, his disciples were preparing to receive—and observe—the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week—not the first. And after his death, they did so. Right there he destroyed the heresy that the law was nailed to the cross, and—among other things, that the disciples did not keep the Sabbath.
The apostles and the rest of Christ's followers simply followed the teachings that were already written in the Law (Torah) and the Prophets, and that Jesus came and not only reaffirmed, but also clarified, cleansing it of all the contamination that the scribes, rabbis, and Pharisees had sown on the word of God (JER. 8:8). And that's especially true with the Sabbath issue—
9 Passing from there, he came to their synagogue.
10 And behold, there was one there whose hand was withered; and they asked Jesus, so that they could accuse him: Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?
11 He told them: What man is there among you who has a sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, does not lay hold of it and lift it up?
12 For how much more valuable is a man than a sheep? Therefore, is legal Do good on the Sabbath.
13 Then he said to that man: Stretch out your hand. And he stretched it out, and it was restored to him healthy as the other.
14 And the Pharisees came out and took counsel against Jesus to destroy him. —MATHEW 12:9-14
To Jesus say that It is lawful to do good on the Sabbath, you are simply confirming it. Notice he didn't say “there is no day of rest”, but what you are denying—just as the Pharisees did, is lawful to do on the Sabbath. That is, doing good is part of the commandment and not a violation of it.. This is something the Pharisees forgot (MAT. 23:23), and that you don't even bother to know or recognize. Something so simple and clear, but you can't understand it, or is it that you don't want to? And you do not understand it because your god is a god of confusion, and this is established in the Bible (1 COR. 14:33, JOHN 8:44).
Before Jesus walked this earth, his disciples already kept the Sabbath, since it was not at his second coming—nor at Sinai, that Christ established the Sabbath for man, but at creation, when he, yes—he, rested on that glorious first seventh day on this earth:
1 So the heavens and the earth were finished, and all their host.
2 And God finished the work that he did on the seventh day; and rested on the seventh day of all the work he did.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it, because in him he rested from all the work he had done in creation. —GENESIS 2:1-3
I know very well that the evangelical world does not navigate these waters, but yes, it was Jesus who rested in creation, not the Father. You can't get there because to swim in the water—even though this sounds redundant, you first have to know how to swim. [to]Jesus, The Angel of Jehovah
[STUDY, CristoVerdad]
While it is true that God is not a God of confusion, it must be emphasized that to rebellious people like you he brings a spirit of confusion, because they are rebellious—
8 And then that wicked one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming;
9 wicked one whose coming is by the work of Satan, with great power and signs and lying prodigies,
10 and with all deception of iniquity to those who are lost, because they did not receive the love of the truth to be saved.
11 For this reason God sends them a deceptive power, so that they believe the lie,
12 so that all those who did not believe the truth may be condemned, but they took pleasure in injustice. —2 THESSALONIANS 2:8-12
What you are doing with your rejection of the Sabbath—and the entire law—is agreeing with the Pharisees and not Christ. That is, the Pharisees were right, and Jesus was a sinner and deserved to die for it. Can't you still understand that you are serving the devil himself?
And what about the Sabbath being for the Jews? Please, Enough of so much mediocrity. We already covered that in another study, [2]The Law, The Jews & You
[STUDY, CristoVerdad] But for now, I urge you who are reading this to consider the following:
Since Jesus, a) was a Jew, b) came to the Jews, then answer the question, Was Jesus also only for the Jews?
There is a saying in my country ““what is equal is not an advantage.”. If with the Bible in your hands you accept that the Sabbath was only for the Jews, you also have to accept that Jesus was for the Jews exclusively. And if Jesus was only for the Jews, friend you are... complete the sentence.
Now, considering for a moment that the Sabbath was for the Jews—well indeed it was, now answer why it was for the Jews. And since I know you don't know the answer, let me show you what the Bible says about it:
1 I speak the truth in Christ, I do not lie, and my conscience bears witness to me in the Holy Spirit,
2 that I have great sadness and continuous pain in my heart.
3 For I myself would like to be accursed, separated from Christ, for the sake of my brothers, who are my relatives according to the flesh;
4 that They are Israelites, of which are adoption, glory, the pact, THE PROMULGATION OF THE LAW, worship and promises;
5 of whom are the patriarchs, and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is God over all things, blessed forever. Amen. —ROMANS 9:1-5
The Bible says that the promulgation of the law belongs to the Israelites—that is, Jews. And enactment comes from enacting. And enact is—
1. tr. Post something solemnly.
2. tr. Make something widely disseminated and propagated in the public.
3. tr. Right. Formally publish a law or other provision of the authority, in order for it to be fulfilled and enforced as mandatory. —ROYAL ACADEMY OF THE SPANISH LANGUAGE (RAE)
Apparently even the pagans are clearer than you Christians. Yes—indeed, the law of God was for the Jews. Yes, so that the Jews may promulgate it to those who do not know it. And in case you have forgotten or what you want to forget, remember that God said "remember" (EXD. 20:8).
Yes, in the time of Moses the Law was for the Jews, because those Jews had forgotten or distorted it due to their slavery in Egypt. (EXD. 8:1). But it was in Eden that God first rested, leaving an example for the Jews, Mexicans, Venezuelans, Irish, Canadians, Peruvians, Haitians, Hindus, etc. In fact, he left an example for man, because—
27He also told them: The Sabbath was made for man, and not man because of the Sabbath. —MARK 2:27
Yes, for man, not the Jewish man, but for Adam—humanity, of which the Jews are also a part, in case you don't know that. Now the question I ask you, ARE YOU AN ADAM OR A “PRIMATE”?
And we see John—the beloved disciple—who was not a primate, and the one who knew Jesus best, standing before the Lord of the Sabbath, emphasizing his holy day. (LUK. 6:5). We have heard some say that that day of the Lord of Revelation 1:10 It is Sunday, but they give no biblical basis for that. And they don't give it because it simply doesn't exist. Now, the fact that they do not have a biblical basis does not mean that they do not have any basis, because if they do—
Yes, that is the basis they have, your mother Rome—without forgetting your father, [c]The day of Resurrection: the new creation
[LINK, the Vatican] as we mentioned in part 6 of this series. [T]]6Irrefutable Text of the Day, No. 6 — I See, Your Mother's Honesty
[VIDEO 2:32:55, CristoVerdad] But now that I think about it a little better, yes, evnagelicals give a biblical basis—according to them, it shows that Sunday is the Lord's day:
19 When the night of that same day came, THE FIRST OF THE WEEK, The doors being closed in the place where the disciples were gathered for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle and said to them: Peace be with you. —JOHN 20:19
After the death of Christ, the disciples of Jesus—who were not primates, were hidden because of the persecution of the Jews who killed Jesus—who were primates. And since Jesus was crucified on the sixth day of the week, REESTED in the tomb on the seventh, and was resurrected on the first, then the primates of this time say that this is the proof that “Sunday” is the Lord's day of rest. . The truth is that you have to be a complete primate, like the one we see in the photo, to conclude such stupidity.
Thinking about it a little better, I have never seen one of those primates (photo) say that Sunday is the Lord's Day. So we see that human primates are more primates than primates themselves!
The Bible clearly says that the disciples were hiding on the first day, fearing for their lives, and for these modern primates that is observing Sunday as the Sabbath, and that is evidence that we should not observe the seventh day—given to those who are not primates, but nevertheless lightly accept the day granted by your mother Rome.
What cleverness of these primates, also called Christians! The truth is that they never cease to surprise me—NOR ENTERTAIN ME, since the acrobatics and stupidities they do to deny the Sabbath always go from the ridiculous to the stupid—to the imbecile, to the unusual, crossing all that way until they reach their refuge. favorite: mediocrity.
The interesting thing is that they say that only to reject the Sabbath, because if they believed that Sunday was the Lord's day, then they would have to do what is Saturday on Sunday, a description that we find in Exodus 20:8-11, Deuteronomy 5:12-15 and Matthew 12:12. But they don't do that, not even on Sunday. What we see here is that this is a matter of rebellion, not observation: man wants to be saved by his own merits, just as the word of God says—
1 They will lay hands on a man [JESUS] seven women [CHURCHES] at that time [THE END], saying: We will eat our bread [DOCTRINE], and we will put on our clothes [PORPIA JUSTICE]; only let us carry your name [CHRISTIAN]Take away our shame [SHAME]. —ISAIAH 4:1
Rebellion just like the primate scribes, rabbis and Pharisees of yesterday. There are things that never change, Oh Caiaphas, how long will I have to put up with you!
We ask again, was God wrong or were primates like you wrong?
Happy Saturday to all!
