Sign of the Eternal Father?

[14] annulling the record of the decrees that was against us, which was contrary to us, taking it out of the way and nailing it to the cross […] —COLOSSIANS 2:14

Today, Saturday, October 10, 2023, someone (Wilton Patrocinio) posted in a WhatsApp group called Trinity or Oneness? The next message:

“The Sabbath is the eternal sign between God and His People (Ezekiel 20:12, @Rafel Díaz).”

Wilton Patrocionio actually only shared a photo with that message posted by Adventist preacher Rafael Díaz. Then, another member of the group named Leo responds to that message as follows:

“That is not biblical, what strange inventions!!

Believe that this is a messianic Gentile invention, BECAUSE THE MESSIANICS ARE NOT JEWS, THEY ARE GENTILES BORN OUTSIDE OF ISRAEL. Be careful not to put your fingers in your mouth, Gentiles do not have to celebrate Shabbat, that is unbiblical.” —Leo, Grupo Trinidad or Uniciad?

With what strange inventions, huh?

Although it is true that Rafael Díaz is a heretic and idolater, the truth is that he supports that message with a biblical quote, although he also adds some personal nuances, which we will expand on a little later.

12And I also gave them my days of rest, so that they could be a SIGN between me and them, that they might know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies them. —EZEKIEL 20:12

Ezekiel continues…

[20] and sanctify my Sabbaths, and let them be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. —EZEKIEL 20:20

And we see the same message in the book of Exodus:

[13] You will speak to the children of Israel, saying: Truly you will keep my Sabbaths; because it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.

[17] It is a sign forever between me and the children of Israel; For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he ceased and rested. —EXODUS 31:13, 17

While it is true that that particular text—Ezekiel 20:12, 20—it does not speak of eternity, let us remember—however, the word of God urges us to search and compare scripture with scripture (ISA. 28:10-13). And that is precisely what I will do, compare line after line, commandment with commandment, and line after line...

The interesting thing is that in his response to Rafael Díaz's message, Mr. Leo tells us "I think that…" and he gives us no biblical evidence for what he believes. And in reality that is the main problem that exists in the world of Christianity: the “I believe”, “it seems to me”, “I think that”, “I believe that”, etc. Yes, the “I believe”, BUT WHAT DOES GOD BELIEVE ABOUT IT?

8 This town of lips me honor; But, his heart is away from me.

9 Well, they honor me in vain, Teaching as doctrines, commandments of men. —MATHEW 15:8-9

And what else?

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and wicked; who will know him? —JEREMIAH 17:9

Gentlemen, this matter of I believe is not very popular with God. And although Rafael Díaz is a lover of I believe, we have already exposed him here in CristoVerdad, and therefore we will not focus much on him. [to]Elena White Under The Magnifying Glass, PART 12: The “SOLA SCRIPTURA” Not So Sola, Rafael Díaz and The “Seventh” Day Adventists [BIBLE STUDY, CristoVerdad] But for now, Díaz, having been contaminated with Adventist doctrines, hints at something very typical of Adventism: that “the Sabbath is the sign of God and his people.” No, that's not what the Bible says, that the Sabbath is the sign of God, but it is A SIGN that identifies the people of God, not the only sign, something very different from what the Adventist Church teaches.

The dragon of Revelation 12:17 does not persecute the woman's descendants because they particularly keep the Sabbath, but because they are faithful to all the commandments of the law, including the Sabbath, and not the Sabbath exclusively. Can you see the subtlety of the Adventist deception?

God's people keep his law, and Adventist emissaries mostly only focus on the Sabbath so that we do not look at the signs that are in there that NO identifies them as God's people: the violation of the rest of the commandments, as is the practice of abortion in their “health” facilities or the burst of homosexuality promoted and practiced by that synagogue of Satan.

  • Generally speaking, members of the Adventist Church defend the Sabbath with their claws, but seem to care little or nothing that their church is slaughtering uncouth blood in its hospitals and clinics around the world. Doesn't the Bible say that he who violates a commandment is makes everyone guilty? (James 2:10)

[1] Blessed the man who does this, and the son of man who embraces him; who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and who keeps his hand from doing all evil. […]

[6] And to the children of the foreigners that they follow Jehovah to serve him, and that they love the name of Jehovah to be his servants; to all those who keep the Sabbath so as not to profane it, and embrace my pact

[7] I will take them to my holy mountain, and I will recreate them in my house of prayer; Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; because my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples. —ISAIAH 56:1, 6-7

Not only the Sabbath is a sign between God and his people, but the entire law. And members of the Adventist Church turn a blind eye when they are shown that not a single commandment is observed in their church, including the Sabbath.

So no, God is not going with that I believe thing, because he is guided by a very different principle—his character, which is his law, which he calls us to follow; Not an I believe, but a “because it is written”…

Now, let's get fully into the matter that we will study here. Here is the message I shared in that group, which ended up becoming this study:

“Gentiles do not have to celebrate Shabbat, that is unbiblical.”.” —Leo

    MY ANSWER:

That is biblical. But not only on Saturday, but God's people keep all his commandments (John 14:15, ROM. 2:13, 3:31, Alk. 22:14-16, Matt. 19:16-19). That's all over the Bible.

The word of God says that the kingdom of God is reserved for a very specific group: the Saints of the Most High:

[25] And he will speak words against the Most High, and he will break the saints of the Most High, AND WILL THINK ABOUT CHANGE THE TIMES AND THE LAW; and they will be delivered into his hand until a time, and times, and half a time.

[26] But the Judge will sit, and they will take away his dominion so that he will be destroyed and ruined to the end,

[27] and? the kingdom, and the dominion and the majesty of the kingdoms under all heaven, be given to the people of THE SAINTS of the Most High, WHOSE KINGDOM IS ETERNAL KINGDOM, and all dominions will serve and obey Him. —Daniel 7:25-27

And yes, the Saints of the Most High are nothing other than those who keep the commandments of God:

[12] Here is the patience of THE SAINTS, THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD and the faith of Jesus. —Revelation 14:12

There it is, first in Daniel—speaking of the eternity of the law, when it had never occurred to any of you that the law is abolished, and then in Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

Once again, God in Revelation 14:12 identifies his people as those who keep his law. Interestingly, the devil also identifies God's people as those who keep his law, and therefore persecutes them:

[17] Then the dragon was filled with anger against the woman; and she went to wage war against the rest of her descendants, THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. —REVELATION 12:17

He persecutes them because they are faithful to God, keeping his law. That is very clear, but you follow dogmas of men (MAT. 15:7-9).

And no, God's people are not Adventists, in case any of you believe that. It is also not true that Adventists keep the law. They claim to keep it, but they don't keep it. And I challenge any Adventist to prove me wrong.

No, God's people are not Adventist, they are biblical and that's it. When I read my Bible I see God himself dictating his law and writing it with his own finger (Exd. 31:18). No, I don't see any Adventist giving the law, I see the Most High giving his law. And he gave it first to Adam (HOSEA 6:7), before there was a single Israelite on this land, for those who mistakenly believe that the law was, to) given to Israel first, and b) only for Israel.

Is the Sabbath an internal sign between God and his people? The very fact that the opposite is suggested is, by the way, a sign that a very poor and mediocre study of the scriptures is being carried out:

[13] You will speak to the children of Israel, saying: Truly you you will keep my sabbaths; because IT IS A SIGN between me and you for your generations, so that you know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies you. —EXODUS 31:13-

This text not only says that the Sabbath is a sign between God and his people, but also that God sanctifies man through his Sabbath. That is why the Bible says that the Sabbath is Holy and that the law is Holy.

    The text continues:

[16] Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations. PERPETUAL COVENANT.

[17] It is a sign forever between me and the children of Israel; For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he ceased and rested. —Exodus 31:16-17

That is very clear. But isn't the Sabbath just for Israel? No, but at that moment it was being spoken to Israel, the people with whom God continued his work, the same work that began with Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jesus himself, Paul, John, until reaching us in the time of the end—those who keep his commandments, of course.

Apart from the fact that the texts of Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5 directly say that Saturday is also for foreigners, In Isaiah we see the following:

[2] BLESSED THE MANAnd the one who does this, and the son of man who embraces him; who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and who keeps his hand from doing all evil.

[3] AND THE STRANGER who follows Jehovah shall not speak saying: Jehovah will completely separate me from his people. Nor let the eunuch say: Behold, I am a dry tree. […]

[6] And to the children of THE FOREIGNERS that they follow Jehovah to serve him, and that they love the name of Jehovah to be his servants; to all THOSE WHO KEEP THE SABBATH DAY so as not to desecrate it, and EMBRACE MY COVENANT,

[7] I will take them to my holy mountain, and I will recreate them in my house of prayer; Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; because my house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples. —Isaiah 56:2-3,6-7

And what do they still not understand?

[EDITION, Oct. 10, 2023] José Luis Javier

Blessed is the man, not the Jewish man. And man was created—incidentally, at creation. And that is why Jesus expressed these words:

27 He also told them: The Sabbath was made for man, and not man because of the Sabbath.

28 Therefore, The Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. —MARK 2:27-28

Gentlemen, one day these so-called Christians will give a great account to God, since he has spoken quite clearly in his word. And not only has he spoken, but he has given us an example:

1 So the heavens and the earth were finished, and all their host.

2 And God finished the work that he did on the seventh day; and rested on the seventh day of all the work he did.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it, because in him he rested of all the work he had done in creation. —GENESIS 2:1-3

21 And they entered Capernaum; and the days of repose, entering the synagogue, taught. —MARK 2:21

16 He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up; and on the sabbath entered the synagogue, according to your custom, and got up to read. —LUKE 4:16

The Sabbath, made for man, said by “the son of man.”

    [END OF EDITION]

Yes, for the man. That is, all meat:

[22] Because like the new heavens and the new earth that I do will remain before me, says the Lord, so it will remain your descendants and your name.

[23] And from month to month, and from sabbath day on sabbath day, ALL FLESH WILL COME TO WORSHIP BEFORE MEsaid Jehovah. ISAIAH 66:22-23

NEW HEAVENS AND NEW EARTH = ETERNITY.

Now let's go back to the story of Jesus:

[16] The law and the prophets were until John; Since then the kingdom of God is announced, and everyone strives to enter it.

[17] But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, let one tittle of the law be FRUSTRATED. —LUKE 16:16-17

The question I ask each member of this group, Did heaven and earth pass away?

And Jesus does not say that the law will pass away when heaven and earth pass away, but that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single point of the law to pass away. And in case anyone thinks that Jesus was talking about another law that is not the law of God, the text continues….

[18] Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another, ADULTERESS; and he who marries her who is divorced from her husband, ADULTERESS. —LUKE 16:18

What law was Jesus referring to? To the law of the ten commandments:

[14] You will not commit adultery. —EXODUS 20:14

If you still don't understand it is because you are being directed by a spirit of confusion or a spirit of rebellion.

Was the law abolished on the cross? No.

[54] It was preparation day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.

[55] And the women who had come with him from Galilee also followed, and they saw the tomb and how his body was laid.

[56] And round, They prepared spices and ointments; and They rested on the Sabbath, according to the commandment. —LUKE 23:54-56

These women were counted among the number of Jesus' disciples, and here we see that just after Jesus' death they continued to observe the Sabbath. This means that it is a lie that the law was nailed to the cross. But apart from Jesus, was anything else nailed to the cross? Yes, but not the law of the ten commandments. Let's see…

[26] And after sixty-two weeks the life of the Messiah will be taken, but not by itself; and the people of a prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end will be with a flood, and until the end of the war the devastations will last.

[27] And for another week WILL CONFIRM THE COVENANT with many; in the middle of the week will make THE SACRIFICE AND THE OFFERING cease. Then with the multitude of abominations will come the desolator, until the consummation comes, and what is determined is poured out on the desolator. —DANIEL 9:26-27

The sacrifice and offering were nailed to the cross. But what sacrifice, and what offering? The sacrifice of animals and the different offerings in the Sanctuary, with all its rites:

    [14] For he is our peace, who made both one, breaking down the middle wall of separation;

[15] settling [REMOVING] enmities in his flesh, THE LAW OF COMMANDMENTS IN A RITE ORDER, to build in himself the two into a new man, making peace,

[16] And reconcile by the cross with God both in one body, killing enmities in it. —EPHESIANS 2:14-16 (Reuja Valera Antigua, (RVES), 1602

[14]scratching [STARTING] the ID of RITES that it was contrary to us, that it was against us, removing it from the middle and nailing it to the cross; —COLOSSIANS 2:14, Old King James Version (KJV), 1692

Clear as water. The rites and sacrifices are what was nailed to the cross, since the symbol was already fulfilled in “the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). That is why we see women observing the Sabbath right after the cross. And that is also why we see Paul observing the Sabbath (Acts 17:2). And we see John receive the first vision of the Apocalypse on the Seventh day, the day of the Lord (Rev. 1:10). Receiving God's last message for humanity on a day that is abolished? That doesn't fit, my friend.
