The man is known by his words. They reflect what each person is. He who speaks lies, his words say that he is a liar. The Word of God, his Law, is the inscrutable means to know the Lord.
17 To him who overcomes, I will give him to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give a pebble—REVELATION 2:17
Who will be given the manna and the stone with the new name? To him who conquers!
I don't know about you, but it seems to me that Jesus is telling me that in order to save myself, I have to act... He says to win, but “I believe that winning is the same as acting”; and if it is not the same, at least, to win you have to do some work...
4 The soul that sins will die. —EZEKIEL 18:4
And what happens to the one who does not sin? According to verse 18, it says that “The justice of the righteous will be upon him… Just is he who keeps the Commandments... Well! The soul that will not sin, says God in Ezequiel, WILL LIVE. He who sins dies and is lost, but he who keeps the Law lives and is saved; and even if he does not live, but dies by obeying and obeying God, he will be saved.
25 He who believes in me, even if he is dead, will live. —JOHN 11:25
Why will he live? Because believing in Christ is not just believing that he exists, it is obeying him, or doesn't the Scripture say, And Abraham believed and it was counted to him as righteousness., that is, he was counted for keeping the Law, since believing in God is obeying Him. He who truly believes in him, obeys him. But "Even the demons believe and tremble…" Was not Abraham justified by works? (James 2:17-24.).
5 Because Abraham heard my voice, he KEPT my precept, MY COMMANDMENTS, my statutes and my laws. —GENESIS 26:5
My friends, we have already seen that only the righteous will enter heaven, and Abraham was justified by WORKS... He kept the Law. A demon believes, trembles, but he doesn't obey.
The rich young man was told: “Sell everything you have (construction site), and give it to the poor (more works), and you will store up treasures in heaven… In other words, you will be saved… (MARK 10:21).
That is what Jesus said to the rich young man regarding the detail of the Law that he had not yet kept, and that without it he would not gain heaven. The interesting thing is that Jesus told that young man that the only way to heaven is the Law of God and its observance.
13 Yes retractors of Saturday your foot, to do your will on my holy day, and on Saturday you will call delight, holy, glorious of the Lord; and you will venerate him, not walking in your own canines, nor seeking your will, nor speaking your own words,
14 then you will delight in the Lord; and I will make you climb upon the heights of the earth, and I will give you the inheritance of Jacob your father to eat… —ISAIAH 58:13-14
Jacob's inheritance is Canaan. Canaan represents the new land, and everyone who comes to it is because they were saved. To enter Canaan, the verse says, you must keep the Sabbath. The Sabbath is the second pillar of the Law of God. The Sabbath is the Fourth Commandment, and in this verse from Isaiah, it represents the complete Law.
Salvation is not by your works so that you don't even think about boasting, it is by the works of God, his grace, his love, which is the same as his Law.
Again, The fulfillment of the Law is Love (ROMANS 13:10), but the Word says that God is Love (1 JOHN 4:8). So let's be smart, God—his Law—and Love, are the same.
Show me your salvation through your false grace, that I will show you the salvation of everyone who has been saved, through their obedience to the Law of God.
If you sin you die and are lost, then the opposite would be that if you do not sin you live and are saved. Salvation is only by works…
